zuk, thanks for reply and good luck on your cage system design. our snow has melted from 36'' down to about 8'', but harder to go thru cause now it's wet and slushey. really takes more power than when it was fluffier. j.b.

Yes, front chains are off and all six tires mapped for circumference. The tires do slip a bit now in challenging terrain, like climbing out of creeks but they have always grabbed after a little spin. I much prefer this over broken axles lol. I've recently purchased a lathe, I have an idea for a bearing cage system that can installed and removed without pulling the axles. It's a compilation of ideas I've gathered from the site.Originally posted by john swenson View Postzuk, awesome ride in the snow. are you running your tracks without front chains? took mine off yesterday on my max 2. seems to go just as well. thanks, johnboy va.

I'm very impressed with it on the water compared to my Argo. It sits high and level and climbs out much better. The max with 24" Argo tires is faster than my Argo with 22s and a 54lb thrust trolling motorOriginally posted by Noel Woods View PostThat little Max4 was really moving quickly across the pond.

Thanks! I certainly will, its a great spot just a few miles from my house with a great variety of terrain. There are a few small but deep ponds, valleys, big sand hills, forrest trails, nasty mud pits all in one spot.Originally posted by Model Citizen View PostYeah, thanks for the video. Wow..REAL nice place to ride!
I hope to see another one in spring or summer back there. Please don't forget.

Here's a video my wife took of me on my first trip into the water with the Max in the same spot in the fall.

Went for a little tour around the neighborhood yesterday. Had my Nephew record a bit of it.

Well, mostly finished Noel. I still have to get the seat covers and cushions installed. I ride around on some boat cushions for now and it's not so bad that I think "I've just got to get those seats finished". And also I haven't decided exactly what color I want. The walk around is something I've been needing to do for some time, just haven't taken time to do it.Originally posted by Noel Woods View PostBrushcutter: Nice video. Do us a favor and do a walk-around video showing the machine up close and personal now that she's finished.

Yeah I know. You are spot on about forgetting how and the confused smiley was definitely me trying to remember whether I needed the http or not. I'm glad to know Whipper is halfway there on his eye surgery but hate that he has to have it, hopefully he will have a speedy recovery and all will go well with the other eye.Originally posted by Model Citizen View PostAnd you can forget how to post them correctly, too.
Bet you're glad it's done, brushcutter. You did good.
Some of us ain't riding right now. We have the great weather, but The Whip had cataract surgery. One done, one more to go. He wears his sand goggles just to mow the lawn.
So watching videos for us is
. Hope summer doesn't come early for us this year.
Thanks!
Bridget

Haven't posted any video in a while, people will start thinking you ain't riding if you don't throw out some frames time to time, so here is a few feet of film. This was taken last Friday after we had a little rain. I'm doing some beaver control for the property owners where this was shot and decided to record some of the ride. At the end of the clip you can see the creek flowing over one of the dams. I had to, or at least I did it to be safe, pull the winch line across the creek in case the current was more than the trackster could handle. I planned to video the return crossing but driving and winching kept both hands full. I thought I posted this last night but apparently didn't hit the submit reply button after I finished writing.
