This machine is a real beast with power and gears to back it up. I can turn the tracks as well as the entire machine just like it had the Admiral transmission. The power never runs out and its my belief this is the best engine in an amphibious atv that I've driven to date.

The Generac engines come stock with an oversized air intake fan, this machine has never overheated even with the hood on and driven in warm weather here in Texas. I have never had to run the machine above 2/3rds throttle as it has power to spare.

The Adair tracks will pull this machine over just about anything. One thing I like about Argos is that there is plenty of ground clearance even with stock machines.

The Generac engine is very similar in size to the 23hp B&S in my other machine. Its a totally different machine however with loads of power on tap, and of course the fact that Argo really builds a good machine.
Where do you source the Generac Engines from? How would they work in an older Argo 8x8?

Let me know if I'm trashing this thread with videos that are less than spectacular!
Here is the newest robphibious video of the 2015 series http://youtu.be/XRkCkqj7NJo
Got a little hung up at the end but used my preferred method of extraction (hop out push with one hand, controll both sticks and throttle with the other) to get out. My max is sporting 21" Carlisle at101's propelled by 14 horses.

This is another trail ride video taken on the Max 2. http://youtu.be/p3KE9lpBH34
At 1 min 40 sec I go over a fallen tree at the edge of a serious drop off. I will never forget the first time I attempted that, I had about three hours stick time... And came from the other direction.

I found this very old video of Heath and I in the Richmond hill swamps. The quality of the video is bad but the terrain we covered that day was extreme. This was my first opportunity to see a Frontier in action and I must say that I was very impressed with the machines ability to go almost anywhere in some very difficult swamp conditions, areas where you would not want to go with out having a second machine with you. The sound track was killed by You tube.

Very nice riding area there, I had a good friend up in Cambridge, Mass with a similar place. His was an old cranberry bog but looks very much like your area.
