    • Excellent

Scott, thanks for posting up this video. It was really fun and gave us a real good idea what type of AATV country you have down there. I really like the last parts where you were going through heavy duty water and swamps. Again thanks for posting them up!

        • Yeah...I'm sneaky like that. I like candid type shots. Definitely had a good time, that was a huge area to ride with lots of mud and water. It was a good test as well....we'll see if I climb inclines any better with the 40 tooth drive sprocket. I'm going to mount my bilge pump before next time also, after watching the videos, I think I was getting water through the headlight holes and over the front of the vehicle because the approach angles were so steep entering those creeks!

I'm also gonna bring more water to drink and some to wash off with....it took me 2 days to get my hands clean, I don't remember the last time I was that dirty and tired! But rides like that give you a lot of confidence, because you realize that a properly maintained/set-up amphib will take you just about anywhere you want to go.

EDIT: I talked with JPSwift on the phone after the ride and it is still cool at night in Buffalo....I don't like him anymore hehehe. I was just thinking about that vs. Texas weather....

          • I clicked on the Google direct link , thats at the top of this video , to watch it in HIGH Quality , just like I post my Utube video,s , but it looked pixelated and distorted , when watched on a larger window screen . But ,,when I clicked on the video play buttom , the video quality was MUCH better . Scott ,you put together some outstanding video clips of the places we went that day .

            • A good idea for "washing" water: a small garden-type pump sprayer can be filled with lake/river water & acts like a mini-shower!! You don't have extra weight bringing along extra water from home, or, giving up valuable drinking water. You can "hose down" your machine & yourself in no time at all!

              • Hey Artist,

Using the water down here in Texas wouldn't be such a good idea...it smells almost as good as dirty feet But seriously, I have a little 1 gallon sprayer I may bring next time. Does it work pretty well? I noticed that was on one of the Marengo recommended items to bring.

And we thought that the Max was only good for mud and water!

                    • Dan ,

I was really impressed that the Max II had sufficent room to turn and make it up the second set of steps . I,m also sure that he lowered the air pressure in all of his tires to be able to climb the steep stairs . That would be VERY hard on the axles and bearings I,m sure .

                      • You can download and save internet videos to your computer. I think this will be good for dial up users.

Go get the URL for the video you want to save, and paste it in KeepVid: Download videos from Google, Youtube, iFilm, Putfile, Metacafe, DailyMotion!. You may have high and low res options. Save it to disc. If on a slow connection, start the download and walk away/go to bed.

You may need a player for the vid. They are .flv amd .mp4 files. I use the "Applian FLV Player". I think quicktime will play these flv's.. I needed the player for the mp4's. Gives a nice 2x window size.

There's many sites and ways to do this, I have just done a couple..
