It's video time

You can compare the three versions youtube offers by doing this. The above video window shows standard youtube quality. Now, click on the video's Menu button and choose Copy to Clipboard. Go up to the web address line in your browser and erase what's in there, then Paste what was copied earlier.

Add "&fmt=18" and press enter. That will be mpeg4 quality in stereo.

Now go up there and change 18 to 6, and watch that video. That is an .flv file that is another step up in resolution, but no stereo.

Deinterlacing video before we upload it is the single best improvement we can make. If you google "virtualdub deinterlace" there's video tutorials. When I get a little more settled in it, I'll post some links and how to's.

My dad and I had the pleasure of meeting and riding with Liflod (Lance) and Techfx (Mike) and his girlfriend Annie. Mike and Annie were in town from California visiting family. Although Mike's Attex Superchief was not running properly, he still had fun riding in my Argo and Lance's Max. I was very impressed with Lance's Max IV. To bad there is no footage of me pulling him out of the mud. I can honestly say that without this website this ride would have never happened.

That was an AWESOME video! Over 9 minutes of 6x6 and 8x8 action. What more could we want? Thanks for taking the time to post that. And of course, there's nothing better than seeing people get together and ride with other AATVs. I saw it was getting dark towards the end of the video, did you guys (and gal) ride all day?

Thanks Evil8x8 for putting that great footage together. We're back in San Diego now. My girlfriend had a blast on her first "amphibious" AATV ride and is now becoming addicted (even mentioned that she wants one - after finishing school). The Superchief will ride again soon as my dad was pretty interested in the riding area after watching the video and hopefully he will fix the (carbeurator?) and contact evil8x8 and his dad to ride.

If we didn't have to drag a max and rim racer out of 6 inches of mud - there would have been more time to prepare the Superchief . Of course they are also important ...see thread soon to be posted on those.

Thanks guys. Mike, we went riding in the evening from 5:00-8:30 because of everyones work schedules. We would have loved to ride longer

Excellent videos. It's nice to see some video from other places in the country. Lance your MaxIV was impressive. Evil you beat me to the punch, I was holding that Jimmie Hendrex and AC/DC sound tracks for some of my future videos. Oh well great minds think alike. Looks like a great ride the only thing missing is six or seven more AATV's.
