You can compare the three versions youtube offers by doing this. The above video window shows standard youtube quality. Now, click on the video's Menu button and choose Copy to Clipboard. Go up to the web address line in your browser and erase what's in there, then Paste what was copied earlier.
Add "&fmt=18" and press enter. That will be mpeg4 quality in stereo.
Now go up there and change 18 to 6, and watch that video. That is an .flv file that is another step up in resolution, but no stereo.
