      • I watched that video a long time ago and sent it to several friends of mine. If you look very closely at the beginning of this video, you,ll notice that the driver of the Polaris Razor has on a face mask ,and then pulls an oxygen mask over his mouth as he begins to drive into the river. The yellow oxygen tank is between the man standing on the out side and the driver.

        • Yeah, I noticed he had some sort of breathing apparatus. Did you notice the argo in the upper right corner of the screen towards the end?

          • here is another video taken with the iphone; I just made a wind filter out of a teddy bear fur made in a small pocket to cover the bottom part where the mic is. (my kids got way too much stuffed animals)

It is a lot better and it beat having to buy another camera.

Now that is a creative camera mount. Even with the stock muffler on it, it sounds good smog.

                    • That's absolutely spectacular footage! Reminds me of several trips to the deserts of California and Nevada, although this could be from a lot of places in the desert south west.

                      Great find.

What kind of tracks are those? Adair?

If so, I am somewhat surprised at how well they run in that depth of snow.

Bud, those are the same tracks I have on my machine. I haven't had the chance to drive in a lot of snow, but I was very impressed with the ease a set of standard 14" wide mud tracks was able to move through that deep power.

I know from watching snow mobiles if you make a mistake in snow you will be badly stuck. When I lived in Alaska my Van wouldn't move in more than a few inches without chains.

                            • That was a long time ago in a far away place..........somewhere out there!
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Man, they dumped so much money into that first season. By the time the show ended, it was a complete joke.
