    Yahoo!!!!

Switched insurance companies today. Local broker (had me on Facility insurance for past year) beat out other quotes on house and auto, then got atv coverage for $250 for Max. So i even get a couple of bucks back from the facility insurance. He got it through Intact. He took a long time to convince them but got it done.

our regular insurance company when I gave them the registration numbers for my argo they came back and told me that is comes back as a 750 hdi se and they had a list of argo's they insured and the only 750 they insured was 750 efi, I tried to tell them efi only stood for electronic fuel injection which it had. No convincing them thou, called T,D. and no problem, will be switching everything over in the near future!

I live south of Barrie Ontario and I also have an 6x6 Argo. I had a hard time finding insurance but I did. I had it plated and with ownership papers for it. Last year I was stoped by an OPP on my road, and he told me that it was illegal to drive it on the road, and also the side by sides ATV and that is the law. The OPP did not charge me, only a warning. Since then I had it trailed to the lake in the winter for ice-fishing by my fishing parttner. The OPP told me I did not need a plate to drive it on farm land ( off road) or on the lake. I have a restored Argo and I do not do off road driving, only ice-fishing. But I do not have a trailer, so this thing is no good for me. I needed to by an ATV which I did, and happy now. So what do I do with this VINTAGE 1971 ARGO 6X6 IN GREAT SHAPE. I just had the 399cc Kohler totally rebuilt wit zero mims on it. this will make someone happy.
The LT 8x8 XHD (Extra Heavy Duty) with remote control is my dream toy< made by PFM Manufacturing Inc. Home of the Land Tamer. Double thumbs Up.

ok here is another licencing horror storey in ontario.went to service ontario yesterday to get an ownership for my conquest.had the bill of sale and the certificate from ODG.they would not accept what i had because the serial number was not written on the bill of sale.the certificate that the previous owner got for me was a copy and in french.once again they would not accept it.was told to get a proper copy of the certificate and a new bill of sale with all the info on it.no big deal right?so just for poops and giggles i go to the other service ontario in the north end of town to see what they say.the lady there tells me not to even worry about the bill of sale, but too contact argo and get a "nimbus card"(think thats what she said)from ODG.dealing with government workers is just plain nasty.i swear to god they make crap up as they go along.how is it possible to get such different opinions from the same division?
