I use PJ1 "Black Label" motorcycle chain lube. Stuff lasts for a long time, but is sticky.

That stuff makes a mess! Use the Bel Ray, goes on white so you can see where you've hit the chain & ZERO flings off. I spray it every time I go out...I guess after I wash it actually.

Several guys are using PJ1 Black label, so I went back and reread the question and it was not specified what type of chain.

Black label would be great for regular no o-ring roller chain, but for o-ring chain a person doesn't want to break down the o-rings or penetrate them, so an o-ring specific lube should be used. PJ1 has the Blue Label for O-ring chain.

Not from the factory, and so far I have yet to find 50-2 o-ring chain at all. I am sure it would be quite spendy!! Good quality american made chain works well. Heck, even the non oring chain is outrageous in our neck of the woods bearclaw!
It's not a matter of life or death. It's much more important than that!
