Well I decided that putting the big can muffler on the back was more trouble than it was worth. I cut it off and I'm now just going to go with a straight pipe. I havn't been able to make much more progress because I'm waiting on the machine shop to finish my other 2 axles. Then I'll put in the chains and engine and it'll start coming together again. In the mean time I've been working on making a box to mount on the dash for my gauges.

        Pictures of the header:

Stonewall, first of all, I LOVE your shop! I hope I can have a place like that to wrench, although all that extra space would just encourage me to buy more AATVs.

Good move on shortening the exhaust system. It looks GREAT! You'll be very happy with the header wrap as well......it really keeps the under the hood temperatures down. One suggestion that I'd recommend would putting an RLV silencer in the end of the pipe so there's a little back pressure. This way your jetting won't be that off and your valves won't be so prone to damage. I did dual RLV silencers, but one would work just as well for you I think. I got the standard 1 5/16" for my Hustler and it's loud and aggressive, but doesn't drive you crazy on trail rides. I'd say go for this one instead of the open/modified one. Here's a link:

Thanks JP! That shop is actully my dad's, it's his dream farm shop that he was finally able to build in 2010. The main shop space where my pictures are taken is 60x100, and it's HUGE! All 5 of our big trucks will fit inside with their trailers! As you may have seen in some of my pictures there's currently a Case IH 9370 (our second biggest tractor) in the middle of the shop right now, and it doesn't even seem crowded in there. My project takes up about 1/8 of the shop in the corner with the welder, and a small table in the back.

I looked at the RLV link you posted, but if the biggest is 1 5/16", that won't work on my 2" pipe! If a straight pipe will cause backpressure issues, I may have to look for some other solution...

60'x100' Oh that would take some time to fill up with toys! And I see you even have a pool table. It's a shop, rec room, place to chill, etc, etc. That's great! You might be able to actually take that RLV silencer and drop it right inside your 2" pipe and then weld it in........almost as if it were a muffler insert.

Yup, the south side has a 20x50 section that's basically a 2 story basic house...It's got my dad's office, a bathroom, a closet/storage room, and a bunk room (for our friends that come to hunt every January) on the top floor, and on the bottom there's a break room/kitchen, another bathroom, a pantry/laundry room, and a tool room. It's a fantastic place. When we have the occasional party, the main shop is usually cleaned out to create a gigantic indoor rec area. I like to bring in my Honda ATC 70 and tie a rope to the grab bar, then attach the other end to a computer chair.....that is A LOT of fun...

I may try that with one of those RLVs, do you know the OD of the muffler off hand?

Towing an office chair behind the 3 wheeler sounds like a blast!

I don't know the OD of the RLV silencer offhand, but I can measure it after work today.

Made some progress today. All of the axles are in, and it's now on 5 wheels. The chains from the middle axles to the center axles are in and adjusted. The Max II chain adjusters are awesome! Hopefully tomorrow I can get the rest of the chain, and put it in, along with the engine, and then I can get started on the wiring.

Those 25" Rawhide IIIs look great on there! That's going to be a monster of a 950! Do you need another pair since the one on the back doesn't look like it is matching? There are two new 25x12x9's on ebay right now for $75 buy it now with free shipping. They're not the 25x11.5x9, be sure to check this before hand if you buy them. I'm going to be out in the garage tomorrow so I'll measure the OD of my RLV silencers tomorrow.

Thanks for the link, but the Rawhide IIIs are just temporary, they all have slow leaks. Rawhide IIIs don't have a favorable tread for the terrain I ride in anyway, and I'll be replacing them with Vampires in the near future. No big hurry on the RLV, I still have alot of other things to do.

What size Vampires are you going to run? 25x13x9? Also, just out of curiosity, how many of those Rawhides do you have? I might be interested in them if you'd like to sell them.

Yes, I plan on running the 25x13x9 TSL's, they are my favorite tire.

I now have 5 25x12x9 Rawhide III's, one has a 1.5" cut in it, one has a slow leak, 2 I'm not for sure if they hold air or not, and the last one is about 95% tread (still has some of the tits on the sidewalls). I will probably keep the last one for a good spare. The others can probably be patched, and if you want them, I can either bring them to Busco (provided I get to go) or send them to you for just the cost of shipping.

Scott, 6X6World member boncrshr, has the 25x13x9 Vampire TSL's on his Hustler 950 and it seems like that machine goes through anything! I look forward to seeing yours with those on it. That's very generous of you for the offer on the Rawhides.....I was actually going to grab them for Hydromike since he's running those on his Max 8 wheeler project, so if you make it to Busco we can all work something out then. I can get them to Hydromike or he can grab them. Thanks! If there's anything you need, let me know.
