That's typical of him. His shipping AND "handling" charges are ridiculous too. It's always best so save yourself the headaches and save LOTS of money and just avoid him all together. The good folks at Recreatives are much more helpful and have lower prices.

NEVER deal with Richard's Relics/Route6x6. Jim is right, he just buys from Recreatives and resells it. The other parts he sells are inferior quality, his customer service is absolutely horrible, and he has burned MANY people in the 6 wheeler community. Try looking for a used roll bar or buy one from Recreatives. Amphibious Six-Wheel Drive All-Terrain Vehicles: MaxATVs - Call 1-800-255-2511
LMAO, I just couldn't resist, and...and I was worried that you would post that before I got mine up!

Now there is also the issue of him how to put this gently... stretching AND bending the facts (that's as gentle as I can be). Case in point telling a customer(me) that the belt for their machine is "no longer made" then selling them(me) a belt that is too long which causes them(me) to have to pull their(my) frame in order to build a raised platform so they(I) could get enough room to properly tension said belt is NOT the way to keep happy customers that return to do business in the future. I mean what's up with that? Did he order a bunch of wrong belts and not want to pay the restocking fee, so he just passed the screwing on to his customers?
        I could go on...
