I recently purchased a Max IV, serial number 18837, for carrying out wildlife habitat maintenance and predator control over approximately 13500 acres of marshland and reed beds in the south east of England.
As there is very limited public access to land in the UK there are very few AATVs used for recreation and therefore not many (if any) outlets supplying spares, advice and information. I know that a lot of shooting estates in Scotland use AATVs but that is about all and as far as I know the majority use Argocats.
Does anyone know if there are other Max AATVs in the UK?
I have already rebuilt the engine, a Kohler 23, which now runs like a dream but I am getting a bit of a clunking noise from the rear end when turning.
I know that I need to adjust the chain tensions, but also want to change the ATF in the transmission.
I have read three different manuals for the Borg Warner T20 and all three suggest different grades of ATF.
Can anyone let me know the best option? Type A, Type F or AQ3?
I'm sure that I'll be back for further advice and will post some pictures when I get the chance.
