  • Utility Bed for Max 2?

I am highly considering fabricating/installing a truck-like bed over the rear of my Max 2. My question is, has anyone ever done this before? I live on a large piece of property and wanting to put my amphib to work! I have attached photos of the type of bed I'm considering.

I have seen it done before. My suggestion would be making a mount with a quick release that could attach to a belly band bar on either side of the engine compartment. Really the mount would be not much more than a couple pieces of flat steel top and bottom of the belly band. The top one would have 2 pieces of square stock (front and back) with a hole drilled in each piece for a pin. The rack would need to have smaller pieces of square tube that fit inside the bottom mount with a hole drilled for the pin. I am pretty sure this is the most common method of making a rear rack.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Good advice! Definitely would like it have a quick disconnect so that I can have access to the engine and inner tub. Thinking about fabricating something myself because I can't find any available that meet my measurements.

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=21524724715 this is the rack I've had on both my max II's and I love it. I also include a black milk crate for smaller items.

That looks like it might work! Plus a whole lot cheaper than what I was thinking on spending. Do you have any pictures with it installed?

Do you have to remove it to lift the top tub?

That's exactly what I need. Cheap too! Thanks man, you probably saved me 200 bucks and 4 hours of labor. Thanks again!

Not a problem at all. Wish I could find somthing for the front rack. Swisher makes one but not sure how it will fit.
