Hello Everyone,
I am a new member and this is my first post. I wanted to wait until I was an owner before I started asking (probably a lot) questions. I have read a lot of threads on the various forums here and I think I found what I wanted, but it's not in as good of shape as I would have liked. Today I bought a 1976 max IV. the tub and body are excellent for the age (first question: can they be painted?). After some checking I found it has a Rockwell 295 engine that the guy said ran great (question 2: how many Hp is it?) , the only problrm was he had pulled it out of the machine. He gave me a cup with some nuts, eye bolts and other small parts, but didn't let me know where they came from. He had pulled the transmission and talked to someone at Richards Relics about what he found and he said they told him the T-20 just needed adjusting, so the story goes on he put the transmission back in and stopped there, this is where I came in. I hope I got a good price ($900.00), we lifted the body and inspected the bottom side, clean with no gouges. The tires did not move in and out or have any play whatsoever, they are 21's. I will post pics in the next week or so, I'm on vacation and don't have a lot of time. I know the people hear are very helpful, and I'm sure I can have this yhing the way I want with your help, Like I said...the Adventure begins!
Thanks Hillbiily63
