ok climbing a big hill to day the max stoped pulling and smoked the belt. what is the cause of it .???????

I was running an older belt on my tt. It was worn out and would do that on hills when needed torque. It was worn so the lower ratios of the cvt werent being used because it sits lower in the driven pulley and makes it higher in the drive so its like taking off in 2nd gear type situation. That could be a possibility. -

must have been wet . we road it tonight and it worked right had a ball

The IV is a little more affected by water in the tub causing the belt to slip.Comment

Belt dressing will help the life of the belt but if it is wet it won't matter. I just let it slip and let the heat and and motion remove the water. It should be set ok from the factory and your belt is way to new to worry about adjusting or replacing.
Just drive it and if you are going to be in the water often put a bilge pump in.Comment
