Mmy max IV is older, had roll bar on it. has the big tires, and the black tub is about half a mm from rubbing. anyone know of any ways to remedy this? I thought about adding two tubes from the frame to the top of the roll bar, hoisting the roll bar up, then welding it in so there is tension and will raise the body some.

Do you generally carry alot of weight, something is causing the body to sag.
I think part of the solution will have to be to fix that first, other wise it may just pull the roll bar lose.
But I agree twenty thousands(.02) is very close to the tires.Bruce

I took my seat belts off and also the plates that bolt them onto the inside of the tub , and later found out that my tub was sagging .I then reinstalled the factory seat belt plate , but this time minus the seat belts , and this ended my sagging tub problem .

sagging
One of the things that will cause a max to sage is tying down the machine and transporting the machine by strapping down the roll bar. The owners manual warns against this and recommends that the max be transported or secured by strapping the axles and to never transport or store the machine with straps holding down the roll bar. They warn that this will cause the body to sage. Also direct sunlight could cause a sage if stored in the open over a long period of time. You can gain clearance by deflating the tires and placing a board or brick between the tire and the body. Heat the body (being very carefull here not to melt it) and then air the tires up to gain the clearance you want. When the body cools take out the board or brick and the body will hold the heated shape with added clearance. Be carfull here! Easy does it! Hope this helpsLast edited by mightymaxIV; 04-13-2008, 09:52 PM.

I wonder if in storage, if it were to hang by the rollbar if it would help, lol.

Sagging Body
Hi everyone... I got this problem on my 1985 Argo Vanguard and i got a good solution if it can be install on a Max too... It simple, newer Argo has a frame under the seat, this frame hold both sides of the body, preventing sagging and tire rubbing... I can't post pictures because they are too big but send me a private message and i will send it to you by email. That way you will understand how it goes... Hope it could help you...
