  • New Max II redesign?

Now that Mudd-Ox owns Max atv has anyone heard about possibly updating them? I want a 6x6 atv so I can take my son along but I don't want to spend this much money that looks like something from the 60's.

Don't believe the look will change, perhaps colors, internal changes are the buzz.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

I imagine it would cost tens of thousands just to make new body and tub molds. Tough to earn the money bac when aatvs are not the rage like SxS utvs. It will likely stay as it is. Besides, the Max II is cool looking.

Heck, the 1960s/70s Max II was light years ahead in the looks department compared to a lot of other machines from the same era.

What I meant was....a body that would except larger tires, a dash that would include a digital screen, USB ports etc and a receiver style hitch instead of the one it has now.

Would you REALLY want to go digital with a MAX? I don't think so. It's ugly enough on regular ATV's, can't imagine it on a MAX. It would also make the manufacturing costs and buyers cost very prohibitive. There is a digital face on my wife's Brute Force. The only thing I even look at is the hour meter and speedo depending on where I am. And very seldom at that.

The only tub mod I'd want is the fender area molded for 24" tires, so we wouldn't have to do it ourself if we wanted to go higger tires. Otherwise I like the Max II just the way it is.

it was realy never made for bigger tire or realy needid them. as it's very adjile and sweet looking from the factory ! I would only like to see to old colors come back. other than that I still think its one of the best looking AATV's out there ! The only one to me that looks as cool is the Amphicat. or SPD Wedge !!

Priority one! Modified with shock mounted bucket seat option. Took mine out last week for the first time since rebuild. Almost broke my freakin back.

U may have all the die hards "all wound up" by your interest in updateing the max...but make no mistake about it, every one of them has found something to complain about at one point. They obviously arnt interested in blue tooth type stuff, but an update is an update and if they had the money a new one would be in the barn.
