    Thanks tbone9.
I finished offsetting the laterals, now I can seat 2 people in the front seat with the driver straddling the laterals.
I had to cut the tip of the emergency brake lever off and weld it back straight, it was hitting my left leg

Starting to prepare the max for our main transportation to the AK cabin, I had some shoulder surgery this summer so nothing got done. Hard to drive one handed!
First thing is the windshield, roll cage and rear rack will have to go because of storage issues. I want to narrow it as much as possible also. It came set up for tracks, I was thinking about getting rid of the axle extensions and the long flat bar on each side that goes in-between the axles, I think that it would be no wider than the body then.
It came with Carlisle Tru-Power 26x12x12 4 ply tires, I was thinking of a better riding tire. Did a lot of searching and lots of options. Here's what I thought would work, the Argo Carlisle 24x10x8. I have the 8" rims with the 21" stock tires that i could use. Does anybody have a set mounted that they could measure the height of the tire and their opinion of the ride quality. The Tru-Powers are only 24".

With the k-lock wheels on that vehicle you can run the 26x12x12 tires at 1psi and have a good ride. In my opinion those tires are the best traction and swim tires available.

I have them at 1 psi now, big improvement over 3 psi. I still thought it was rougher than the old 70s Hustler. Or maybe I'm to dang old to remember!
I was thinking with 24x10x8 I would have 8" of sidewall for suspension where I now have 6" with the Tru-power.

I believe you are right on the mark in terms of sidewall suspension. I think those Argo tires ride better than just about anything out there that I've tested so far, having said that I have not tried the Vendetta tires from Mudd Ox yet.

Thanks for the reply's. Noel thats what I was thinking on the ride quality of the argo tires.
usafi65 is from Fairbanks so he knows the type of terrain that I would be riding in, mostly muskeg, swamp and logs with very little rock.
Not like what we have in Colorado. I'm sure the boggy terrain would soften the ride a little, just not sure how much.
So fare we've used a Honda 450 pulling a walking beam trailer, lots of winching! If we get a good rain, it gets real deep in some places thats why we got the Max.
We have to go around 4 lakes to get to the cabin, with good swim tires we could go straight down the cutline through the lake.

Noel do you know the height of the 24x10x8 argo tire?
