Sealing the Max IV with synthetic bearings

I finally ran the Max in water for the first time, just a small private pond close to the house. The banks were a little steeper than I liked but it was the only water around.
Going in it was up to the bottom of the lights, I tried to come out a different bank and it was worse but it did come out on the second try. The good thing is I found where it leaks!
The 2 holes for the winch wires water pored in on approach also got a little water in around the where the top and bottom come together on approach and departure. I sealed the wires and ran carriage bolts in-between the existing tub bolts. It looked like a little water was seeping in around the the drain plugs, I removed the rubber expansion plug and stuck in the cap-plugs that worked better but still seeped a little. I think the problem is the tub is scared up from the PO prying the old plugs out with a screwdriver. Anyway i'm taking Noel's advice and installing the argo style screw in plug.


When I install the drain housing what would be a good sealer to use? Also I was going to use a blind pop rivet to secure it to the tub.

Almost forgot the axle didn't leak a drop after an hour or more in the water.
Looking for leaks!
