Ran it on the river tonight and had a great time. It swims good if you lean it like a V-bottom boat. I still have a broken throttle, hopefully when the new on gets here it will help out with the performance.
coollllllllllllllllllllllll glad you are enjoying your max IV robbie

OMG what a difference the tire pressure made. It's like a different machine. I'm running 3lbs of air and it rides like a dream compared to before. Thanks Robbie any other tips for a newbie?
keep your chains lubed and berings greesed and don't forget your plugs. they are lifesaviors . also keep your max cleaned out sticks and trash can kill your chains and cause them to break .carry a extra 530 master link at all times . robbie
26 ride ruff but more air you put in the worse they ride .. but wait till you go swiming . it will fly with 26 . those 26 are made for a 4000lbs of trencher not a 800 lbs of atv also if you do not have those new style k rimes you might have to run 3 to 5 lbs of air . .. make shure your plugs are in . robbie

You are right about the pressures, I never checked because they looked good but the previous owner had anywhere from 7 to 15 lbs in various tires.

Eddie is right about the throttle. I burried it the first time and it just dug in.
sand and water ===== make quick sand . he is right about the gas in that lighter is better . that looks like my first time down the creek with the new max IV no winch eather . robbie
coolllllllllllllllllllllllll i like that . robbie got to have a winch
Harbor Freight has a 3000 lb. winch with a radio/wireless remote on sale for $64.99 with an online coupon. Email me your email address if you need a copy!
Would you Max owners be afraid to drop off into this creek with no one around to pull you out? Very loose sand/mud. I went in, turned around, and the engine backfired and died. Got it started and drove out. Went to the house and changed my shorts...

I would ,Just let off the throttle to a crawl when you are just about to touch bottom,or you will just dig holes trying to climb out.Keep wheel speed to a minimum and you will have better luck climbing out of soft conditions.
