Hi all, I just purchased a Buffalo from Bushman on here and was wondering if anyone out there had a mid 90's Buffalo they could shoot a few pics of the steering linkages/forward reverse lever linkage? I think I have it all pieced together right put Im a 6x6 virgin and want to make sure. I guess there are no parts breakdowns for Buffalo's? I'm also in need of a throttle cable and lever if you know of anyone that has one for sale. Thanks

Congratulations on your Buffalo! If you use the search in the gallery you will find TONS of pictures of the Buffalo's innards that a member carrant has posted. Here's a link: Recreative Industries Buffalo Truck Pictures
For the throttle cable give Recreative Industries a call. There are also some pictures of the inside of the Buffalo there on their website. Here's that link. Extra piece

Can the piece I circled at the top be eliminated or what is it for??
Also do the u-channels that the linkage hook to on the t-20 need to have springs on them, in the area of the arrows on the pic. Did all units have springs? Thanks

I don't know about the frame but the springs on the laterals aren't required. However you still may want them. Some people like them and some hate them. They just return the sticks to the forward position
Pros:
-Makes it easier to drive with one hand
-When you park, if you leave the trans in reverse it acts as a parking brake
Cons:
-they make it harder to pull back on the sticks
-they take away some of the sensitivity or "feel" that you get from the transmission
I'm sure there are more but that's the gist of it.

I took my springs off, I hated them.I ride a brown '96 Max 4 (skid plate, roll cage, 26" Rawhides, 20hp, custom winch and tow plates) with a 2K front winch and a 4K come-along for back up. I pack 20'tow-strap, 2 chains and 2 hooks,a jeep jack, and a big block of PT wood. Also an axe and chainsaw. And mechanic tools. I have a tote with a tarp and bungees. Spare parts. Two rifles.Hey, arent I supposed to be able to have three passengers?

I've heard it both ways, I put a set on to start out as loose as they'll go. Just need to get a belt, got the wrong belt with it, I have a brand new Recreatives belt # 018036 that I'll take offers on to help offset cost of the $108 Buf. beltAlso I need the 2 little o-rings that go on the slow jet in the carb. Rhino-lining the bed frame and rims this week and hope to be in action this weekend!

Update: Made a few hot laps around the grounds and everything works ok but I dont think the primary clutch is closing up enough. When your running wide open/full speed how far up in the primary does the belt ride and how much "slack" do you have in the belt when the motor is off?

I'm still looking for some input on where the belt should be riding in the primary clutch at W.O.T. I have 3/4" left above the belt, How close should it be to the top? Buff is sluggish out of the hole and runs 10mph tops! It is also pulling to the left and has to corrected constantly. I adjusted the trans. based on the write up on here before I installed it but I must have missed something. I'm pretty sure tire presser isn't the problem because when I got it home 2 of the right side tires were flat and it still pulled left. If I can get the speed up and get her running straight Im pretty certain i will have a AATV for along time
P.S> Sudden drop offs in creek depths are quite unsettling to newbies. Floating in general is quite un-nerving Heres a pic of the kids portion of the break in
