Just bought this 1999 Max IV. Of course the throttle cable broke as soon as I got it in the water so I'm waiting impatiently on the new one. Changed the oil, air filter, spark plugs and oiled and greased the chains and axels. Any other suggestions to keep it running at the best?

Nice Max IV, Mike. Change the transmission oil with ATF type F too. Put in just a hair under a quart, then add 4 ounces of anti slip differential additive to prevent any band chatter. Other than that, you're all set to go. Happy 6 wheeling and welcome to the site!

New to the 6x6 Max community

Very soft. I know we dont talk quads here but the ride is comparable to my 06 king quad 700 (with full independent suspension) that i traded straight over for this. Im extremely happy with my trade. Been looking for one of these for along time, but there so rare in kansas its hard to come by one.
