Need Belt Number for Kohler Command 25 HP Max IV

Hi all,

can anyone give me a belt number for my new to me Max IV? It's a 2003 Max IV with a Kohler Command 25 nHP engine, model 730 s. It came with two belts, one on the machine, the other a spare. but they aren't the same model numbers, width, etc. One is a Recreatives Dayco 018039 (3602 264). The other (was on the machine) is narrower and says (I think) Laser 1-42 86.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've strripped this machine from top to bottom, and now I want to get out and play!

The Dayco sounds like the right one. Which one was on the machine when you got it?

I may be posting this reply twice, so my apologies. service cut out just as i posted my reply.

Both belts came with the machine. I think the dayco was on it, but not sure. problem is, the dayco looks like its never been used but one tooth is split rigfht down to the belt base. I guess it deterioorated - the old fellow had the machine since 2003 but never used it.

Frustrating - this is the only night i have to work in the garage, and this is the last thing before I can fire it up. Like i said in my missing post. this working for a living is getting in the way of living.

I'm pretty sure that is the correct one. To make sure, measure the widths. The correct width for the Max IV belt is 1-3/16". I would put the Dayco on and drive around with it for now. Then tomorrow or whenever you get time before you go on an extended ride pick up a new one.
