Do you guys think that if I needed a temporary skid plate I could strap a piece of plywood to the bottom?

It would be difficult to get a strapped piece of wood to stay in place. Why do you need a skid plate temporarily?

you should be able to pick up a piece of 1/4" HDPE within your price range. I've found that a propane torch works really well for getting it hot enough to shape it. http://www.6x6world.com/forums/attex...hem-alive.html

If you will click on that link that racerone3 posted, hydromike gives you a how-to guide for making and attaching it with rivets.

What kind of machine is it?
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
