Do you guys think that if I needed a temporary skid plate I could strap a piece of plywood to the bottom?

It would be difficult to get a strapped piece of wood to stay in place. Why do you need a skid plate temporarily? -
How can i make an inexspensive skid plate that can withstand a lot? I live on a mountain so I need one but I dont whant to speand more then like 50 or 100.Comment

you should be able to pick up a piece of 1/4" HDPE within your price range.
