max II does not turn right in reverse

I believe your problem is transmission adjustment.There is a superb thread here under transmissions "Adjusting the T-20" .It must be very clear as I was able to adjust mine.You won't believe the difference.Not really a big job.

if both sides will pull in reverse, but one side won't stop to make a turn than you have an adjustment problem. if one side won't pull in reverse then it is a drum issue. the post above will help if it's adjustment. if it is a drum issue, this post should cover what the issue is http://www.6x6world.com/forums/trans...se-1-side.html

Thanks for putting me onto the adjustment thread. I've ordered the adjustment tools and await that. Now I see I need to put 15 inch pounds of torque on the plungers, but I can't find an appropriate torque wrench. Can someone put me on the right trail for that?

You can purchase an inch/pound torque wrench at Sears or through somewhere like snap-on, matco, etc.
