Max IV hopping / shaking violently

Sooooo.... any updates on this, 'cause I'm really curious to know what was causing it.

On my last ride, my MaxII had a shake/jump/hop/bad vibration intermittently. It would happen at med to hi speed and go away when going slow. I found one sprocket tube thru axle bolt that had lost it's retaining nut. I must not have tightened it properly during a recent bearing change. Oooops. The bolt would work it's way out untill the head hit the chain and be pushed back in. I removed the bolt and limped home on 5 wd. I doubt that is your problem, but it's easy enough to check. Other than that, jack it up and run it at slow speed watching the drivetrain.
