  • Whats the proper tire pressure to have on a MAX?

Is it 15lbs? seems a little soggy to me.. What tire pressure you guys run at? & is there different pressures to run for different terrains?

Hi S C. I think its 1.5 - 3 lbs. You probably seat them at 15 but they would bounce wicked if you left them there. Good luck Mike

15psi is maxxing out most of these tires. What tires are you running? In general at least, more PSI will swim better, but 1-5 psi is a good starting range. If you have good beadlocks (not true beadlock with locking ring, but with the inner groove to keep the tire from easily de-beading. You can see the groove from the outside ~1" from the outside of the rim.) you should not have de-beading issues at even 1psi, K-locks said to run at under that and hold good.
I run ~6psi on the wolf since I have 4 NONbeadlock rims, but it is a tad rough. If I air down to 2 or 3 it rides nice.

I think what everyone is saying is that you definitely need to let some air out. Inflate them to a max of 4-5 psi but the lower you go, the better your tires will conform to obstacles and the wider your footprint will be.

.5 psi to 1.5 with my bead locks never had an issues if you go to low with the beadlock you can spin your rim inside the tire

Thanks for the input guys!, I found out why one of my tires has 0 pressure.. There is a 1/2 inch slit in the sidewall probably from hitting an obstacle underwater..

Is there any way to patch a side wall cut on a Max tire?

Go to the "Tire and Wheel talk" section of the forum. Search the threads for "sidewall" it came up about 1/2 way down the first page for me. Sorry I can't be of more help with a functional link or something but I'm quite "computer illiterate".
