By the way, for those of you amused at my sudden release of frustration here on the forum. I have better things to do than make this stuff up. I haven't dealt with Matt in over a year and even though the previous times were an exercise in frustration, I thought I might give it a go again, and maybe he had cleaned his act up.
I have been considering driving 9 hours to his shop to have some work done. He was to call me back 16 days ago with a quote on what it would cost to ship it, or a good time frame on which to schedule me driving up and having the work done. (the time from my first call to him on this issue to when he responded was almost a week, so the Ox has been sitting almost a month now, needing work). This last little round of "neglect" was just the icing on a cake that has been in the oven for a long, long time.
(I guess Matt's message to me this morning, to the tune of "this is the thanks I get after all the help I've given you" didn't sit well and triggered this little tirade).

imagine that.
By the way, thanks for the reply via private message this morning Matt, (even though it in no way addressed the information I have been waiting on for over 2 weeks and simply expressed your offense at my criticism of your customer service skills). Bad press on the forum seems to always finally get a response. I have only been waiting 16 days now for your to get back to me, when you said you would be calling back the next day. Please don't even try the old "I called you and left a message but you must not have gotten it". Those excuses are worn out and I have heard plenty similar from you over the last few years. Actually, several people I have talked to behind the scenes are familiar with all of your tried and true excuses of run over mailboxes, voicemails going to spam, sending emails that we all somehow never seem to get....etc, etc. I finally got tired of waiting several days ago and took my Mudd Ox to a local shop to have the work done that I was previously talking to you about. Believe it or not, we ALL have jobs and are busy people and have a hard time finding time to get stuff done.
It never ceases to amaze me that somebody can consistently continue shoddy service and then stand in bewilderment when their customers are pissed off.
I await in curious anticipation the response that is surely coming to explain howI am totally confused on the course of our last conversation, or on how I am not confused, but you tried to get in touch.....blah blah blah.

no, his last post isnt even a week old yet. And i live in fairbanks, and yes, russian is almost a second language up here at the top of the world! Plus those boys being in anchorage and all, you could probbably strap it into a shipping container and have it shipped for not too much, or even air freight it (anchorage is the air freight capital of the world)
and when i see ol sarah, ill tell her hi for you

I don't know, old Victor may have given up by now. Besides the other obvious advantages, Mark and his crew at Alaska Mudd Ox would be closer for the guy anyhow, as far as shipping goes. Those guys can probably look out their window and see Russia....just ask Sarah Palin.....
sorry, couldn't resist.

I HIGHLY recommend bypassing the builder/dealer in Indiana and using the Alaska dealer. The Alaska crew is very helpful and responsive to your needs and you will be thankful later should problems arise. You might as well piss in the wind rather than try to get help from the builder/dealer in Indiana.
And just to clarify. The Indiana builder/dealer WILL usually come through, eventually get in touch with you, and probably give you some sort of deal to offset the excruciatingly long wait and the poor customer service....but it isn't worth it. You will do yourself a favor by using those guys in Alaska.Last edited by hancock; 11-04-2011, 10:27 PM.

Try Argo or Recreatives. They'll bend over backwards to sell you a machine.

Guys, somebody can knows a secret about Matt? I have found a companion on logistics from America to Russia. My companion also cannot receive from Matt the final decision. I still do not know cost of the cross-country vehicle with necessary options and I do not know manufacturing terms. Whether there is somebody with whom Matt can communicate? Help to solve a question in which I am engaged from the beginning of summer.
I wrote to it on two addresses, but to the answer silence.

I can count on what terms of manufacturing of the car? I could not find more successful car in this class all over the world and I will achieve to test this in our Ural and Siberian conditions.

Sorry to hear of the problems you are having Victor. Matt is a good guy and builds a very nice machine. Rumor has it that he works very long hours every day in his factory and just doesn't have the time for customer service. He should hire more employees. I'd try contacting one of his dealers, you may have better luck there. Find a Dealer Near You

Unfortunately, the lack of support is a common problem with Muddox. You will probably have to contact Matt several times to get a response. That is the major downfall of this machine.
Matt did respond to this thread when you originally talked to him but I deleted his response since commercial posts are not allowed on this site. If you wish to speak with him you should PM him here on the site or continue to call.
Good luck.
