ditch the hardtop, remove the roll bar, replace the heavy steel fuel tank.w/poly. Odyssey 925 battery, lighter flooboards. And I'm assuming you already run with the wheel spacers on so the wheels are farther out. Move your winch into the machine until you need it. You should drive the sticks from the back(reaching over the cowling) when entering the water if you're concerned, or back- in, you'll already be in the back to operate the kicker. You could even leave the cowling off if the machine (canvas-top). Doing some of this would make it more like an argo anyway, and for pete's sake don't do anything that will make you top-heavy, especially if your wheelbase is narrow. Remember an Argo isn't certified amphibious with a roll-bar. Keep all supplies out of the machine and in a floating trailer if you have one. You can do things to make any machine lighter. You could even remove the rear chains. Just don't operate it in such a front-heavy, top-heavy manner. First time I saw the aluminum cabs I thought "great for overland travel in -40 conditions but definitely not a good idea in the water.

That is really not an option..no one here would buy them, and they are technically my projects property..and it's too early to give up...

I know this is a hard bullet to bite,,but I'd sell the two Mudd-Ox machines and buy two new Argo 8x8 Avengers that will do what you want and won't have floatation issue like you now have with the two Mudd-Ox machines you've bought.

[QUOTE = Kmac ] There must be a simplier solution

You bought a machine that's just barely amphibious and you've now just about run out of options to solve your boyacy problems to cross the crocodile infested river with Matt's tracks.

Wow what a shame. Well I want to see photos, and I'm sure the agitation would scare away the crocs. All the Vermont crocs run in fear when my Argo goes through the water
