if i put the motor in the middle and the seats at the front the weight would be more at the front with two people in the front and the motor over the middle axle because the seats sit over the middle axle because the motor only weighs 140kg
    [IMG][/IMG]
so if i was to try and ballance it evenly the motor would have to go further back and then i will loose tray space because i am putting a tray on the back.
i dont want to sound like i dont care about what you guys say because thats not true.
i am going to try it as is and see what it handles like and if it hanldles ok i will then make it float and see what it does im not two worried if its a little bow heavy because the sides are going to be 700mm high.

Kelvin build it the way you want we only want to give you suggestions and ideas. All of us who have built from scratch know how we have had to rework our ideas and compromise. By the way us yanks are a little rusty on the metric sys. so I take it your engine weighs about 325 pounds and your sides are 27.5 inches tall and what is a "Tray"?

A tray is basicly just like having a trailer sitting on the back (but a smaller version of corse) so i can throw all my junk in the back when going anywhere

So if your junk weighs 300 pounds you should be good.

yes my plan is to build a skeleton out of square tube then put alluminium sheets around it and weld the joins and make some double o ring seal and will run grease betwean them......well thats the plan anyway!!

What do you calculate it will weigh? or guess? I was wondering because I guessed hopefully around 1200 to 1300 lbs for mine and thats what I calc. the boyancy and water line at I was way off on weight 1760 lbs so instead of drawing the 4.3 inches I had calc. by the guessed weight it draws 7 inches of the 24 inch sides with total boyancy of 6000 lbs.

hopfully it doesnt weigh any more than 900kg im really only guessing but i think it will be lower in the water than yours but who knows. what are the length and width of your hull say from the back to the start of the bow and total length?

The main section is 4 feet wide by 10 feet long. Add the two fenders to the 4'(1219 mm) section and they are 72" (1829 mm)wide (!0 feet =3.048 meters). From the front end of the hull it curves upward making the total length 13' 2" (4.24 meters) The front nose is 2 feet wide (609.6mm)

chears yours has roughly the same bottom area little bit more so i gues mine will be a little lower in the water than yours
