  • Spanish 6x6

Hello, my name is Javier, I always liked the 6X6 and manufactured here in Spain the Arcos Arts since 1971 and his name is Jack mountains were very few quedarón units in Spain, just 200, was a production purely anecdotal time searching for one and found one of the first to be manufactured here in Spain but is in a deplorable state, no mechanics, only the cockpit and wheels, but the mechanics are relatively easy to find because it is citroën 3 HP engine with gearbox, still not in my power look hopefully next week. Only I have this photo of the interior. Greetings to all the community 6X6.

Hi Javier, welcome to the forum. Since that body is fiberglass and looks to be in decent shape, the rest of the drivetrain could be recreated with a little mechanical skill and time. Is the name of the 6x6 "Arcos Arts"? The Spanish ATV that always comes to mind for me is the Gato Montes: Gato Montes Photos

Bows Arts is the manufacturer and Wildcat is the model, the manufacturer was basically a builder licensee automotive auxiliary parts of many brands such as Jaeger and Cibie among others, though produced two more car models but nothing to do with 6X6, A sports and racing model makes 4, but only prototypes, Wildcat was to fabricate more and were only 200 units for Spain and could not say how many were exported, as there is very little information available, sold his patent to France (Wild Cat) among others.
      AMPHICAT HISTORIA
For the information found here in Spain Arcos Arts invented the 6X6, which I would like to confirm with you that you are the experts, I have a patent document 1968 of the transmission system. Would you know tell me something more about it? you have some photos of vehicles manufactured Arts arches and a copy of the transmission system patent.
I have trouble uploading the photos, I'm trying it now

The general consensus on the earliest 6x6 is that the Jiger was the first one produced. It was manufactured in Canada and the first one was somewhere around 1961 or 1962. Here is a thread with more information: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/gener...ldest-6x6.html

As for uploading photos, this thread will show you how: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/6x6-w...-pictures.html

I have read the links and they are all very interesting, as I said in Spain is very little existing information and are very few who have achieved a Gato Montes and every time you are looking for information just in this magnificent forum.
