    Just got a coot for the first time its been modified a lot has a atv motor in it.it's only 2wheel steering looking to make it 4wheel has anyone done this and is it hard to do from what I've seen of them mine would have to be put back to the original steering cause ive modified it to have a john deere gator rack and pinion helps a lot

      I recommend that you become a member of Cootworld. There is a plethora of information there as well as some good stuff here.

      This person has a kit to turn a 2 wheel steer Coot into a 4 wheel steer Coot. Tim has a 4 wheel steer conversion kit along with all of the parts, directions, and templates how to put it all together.

      I have some pics of my Coot on this site in my photos. Mine is a 4ws 4 WD model, I've also added a steering quickener to mine, and turned the unit backwards to make a steering slower, Here is a link showing the machine. coot atv - YouTube

      Here is an upclose look at the steering slower coot steering - YouTube This allows for a steering that feels nearly as good as power steering.
