Tom insisted that I drive the Monsta' around a little bit in his yard under some nice wet snow conditions. We both agreed that after having six wheels under you most of the time, the Gotcha is just a little "weird". It's certainly not a negative thing, but you don't get the same bounce or skid-steering feel with four wheels. It turns on a dime, but it just feels different. I like it. It almost had me thinking about looking for a Gotcha, but the dozen other projects staring me in the face quickly put that idea to bed.sigpic

Hello I have a question of interest. During your build did you keep the original drive line for making turns ? I have a Gotcha as well with an upgraded motor. Problem is she will turn right like a beast to the right but Left just bogs motor down. I have adjusted till the cows come home but still can't get the Left turn to work right. Do you have some experience in that area ? I have bled and re bled the system, Lifted one corner and bled again . Looks great when parked and you pull the turn lever but under power seems to hang.

As far as your steering if you could take some video one of us will chime in, sounds as if the drive is not disengaging on the side when brakes are applied.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

I agree Argo Jim,
It appears to disengage when idle but once underway it seems to drag. My next step is to remove lever manifold and check inner seals for hydro leak. I saw the above post mention a T20 trans conversion and this idea I played with but the best one i could find was 300 bucks local. Either way it is all original and I think once corrected it should be a fine design.... Will have to keep messin with it and see what I get. Thanks for the input......

Check the bearing and the flanges that mount the drive disc to the brake arm. Any flex when actuated will reduce the amount of movement of the disc.sigpic
