Thanks, Mike for pointing out those brochures! I kinda knew in the back of my mind that Coots and Eagles are similar, but I never made the connection.
My Eagle has been out in the elements for at least seven years and if it wasn't for that it would probably be a much nicer specimen than it is today. It has a few little things that can be fixed: stuck torque converter (pretty much unstuck at this point), dry rotted tires, and a rusty gas tank. However, the worst problem is aluminum corrosion. The flanges on the front and rear worm boxes (I think thats what they're called), both the ones on the drive shaft and the ones on the axle, are either cracked, cracking, or have fallen off completely. Does anybody know if other ATV manufacturers used the same parts, or do I have to attempt to make them myself? I'm pretty sure that OEM is nonexistent at this point. Somebody please prove me wrong!
Some other things that I've been trying to figure out is that I have no idea how many of these things are left, when mine was built and how many they made in the first place. Also what ever happened to the company that made them?
Brad
