No love at all! I think Eddie is about right. Thats a pretty clean looking tiger, way better condition than mine for sure!

Thanks maico for the info! I used a DA sander to remove a good portion of the gray camo from mine today and the stickers are surprisingly good underneath. not sure yet if Im going to repaint and resticker or just sand down to the original gelcoat and clearcoat over top. Depends a lot on how many cracks I have to fix.

I had a little time to work on, as my 3 year old calls it, The Tiger today and made surprisingly little progress. I decided to sand through the decals, but took a few pictures first just in case someone locally can make me new ones. I found quite a few cracks, but nothing over about 2 inches long. Here she is sanded down to the yellow. You can see some of the damage on the nose if you look close.

I worked on getting the clutch off the motor today too, but with no luck. I am going to have to make a puller for it tomorrow. I think it is 7/8 fine thread but if anyone knows for sure let me know.
Its supposed to be close to 50 degrees here tomorrow afternoon so I am hoping to get it rolled outside and washed out good so I can start patching fiberglass. I will try to take some better pictures outside tomorrow as my shop is a little dark.

It actually hit 50 degrees here today! I have to keep telling myself its December, but at least I got the Tiger washed out. As promised here are some pictures.

Here is the drive system all cleaned up. I know its rusty, but it works perfect! I think I will run it. There is a local shop that can rebuild cone clutches if need be anyway.

This is the front right bottom corner. This is the worst of the damage on the whole body. I am sure I will be grinding out and rebuilding a good portion of this corner. Thank God for Bondo

This is damage from the recoil housing rubbing the floor. I'm not sure if someone forgot a spacer under the motor or what happened.

Someone cut a nice big notch in the rear for some reason. This is right by the fuel fill neck. The wood is what I patched in to fiberglass over. If anyone has any theorys as to why they cut this I would love to hear them!

This isn't original!! Anyone know where I can get a muffler?

My son Henry pulling the Tiger back to the shop after her bath! He loves this stuff!! You can also see the skid I built out of 4x4s for moving it around until I get wheels bought.

I used a shop vac to get the rest of the water out and left it to dry overnight before I start fiberglass work. Thanks to the designer who put the drain plug 3 inches ABOVE the lowest point... love it...

The new carburetor came today so after work I bolted it up and added a makeshift muffler for a little backpressure and It RUNS!! Actually runs very well! I decided to wait on the crank bearings and seals until after I tried running it with the new carb and man I am glad I did. This thing idles perfect!! There are very few things that sound better to me than a good running two stroke that actually idles. My son's LT80 is one of those too. That thing will idle all day long and never load up. If anyone else needs one the carb is an ebay special for a Stihl 090. I think I payed 16.95 with free shipping!

Click It & Stick it and another has decals for it. Allis Chalmers Terra Tiger Kit - Vintage Reproductions

I'll see if we have a spare muffler for it.

I spent most of today getting ready for Christmas, but in my last minute shopping I did find a good deal on some new halogen shop lights so I set them up and this is what I saw

Did the factory run out of fiberglass that day or what??!?!? No wonder the plywood is soft around the headlight.

Also, as I was sitting in it making motor noises, I noticed this

I do think a cup holder is in order here!!

I am at a bit of a stand still. It is too cold here to work with fiberglass. My shop is heated with a wood stove, but it is not insulated, and the warmest I could get it up to was 35 so that rules out any fiberglass or paint work. I did get the engine running and built a muffler for it with a supertrap adjustable spark arrestor, and got all the new chains bought. I am going to mount the motor on some new rubber iso mounts from mcmaster-carr but I need to get the glass and paint done before I put the motor back in. I went to the local farm supply store and got every shade of yellow they had and sprayed random splotches all over to pick one. I am thinking new cat yellow is pretty close but its a little pale yet. it is supposed to be in the mid 30s on thursday so hopefully I can make some progress.

Just add more hardener, no? Kidding. I look forward to the remainder of your build.
