I like what I see in the videos. Two machines nearly going vertical is pretty impressive. I am sure shipping and set up will dramatically up the pricing.

Less than $8,000 would be a great deal but as other have mentioned the price on arrival in sates is what matters. Would be good if we had a dealer over here. The small machine seems to have a lot more bite and flotation and the only time it really got stuck and needed to winch it was DEEP and still got out with little fanfare.

I would be very inclined to buy, if I knew for certain that the product and all of its parts were fully supported. The importation of parts for repairs would have to be significantly showcased for any of us to seriously consider buying a foreign product. Otherwise your not going to get far without it.

                Castro,

I haven't had a chance to test drive them yet over in Sweden or Russia, my employer has cut back a lot on overseas travel to Europe, but the next time I do go I will try my hardest to check them out, there seems to be some real interest among the community here, especially in the two person Scout version. It is also the only one that has an engine (Honda) that is probably allowed in the USA as far as emissions, the 5 person Track version of the Tinger uses Chery engines produced in China, and I am pretty sure they wouldn't pass US EPA emissions standards, but right now I am just speculating. I will definitely update this thread once I have more information, thanks for your interest.

I didn't realize small engines in off highway vehicles needed to pass some kind of emission standard for import

Me either, until I corresponded with the guys at Tinger and they mentioned that the new Honda engine they were getting ready to put in the updated Scout version of the Tinger should be OK to import into the USA since it is EPA certified for other uses in other applications in the USA. I then checked on the EPA website and sure enough every engine brought into the USA needs to be certified, if it isn't and you want to import it you have to pay for the certification testing and then if it passes you can bring it into the USA. I can't imagine that testing being cheap, so I wouldn't touch anything that an OEM hasn't already had certified. That's why the Track version probably wouldn't be able to be brought here until either Chery has it certified or Tinger switches to an engine manufacturer that has already certified engines for other purposes here in the USA.

That's very interesting, as much as I hate all the red tape and stupid crap like this that kills capitalism and a free market, I have to admit I'd rather a Honda than a Chery.
