Had a chance to do a litttle testing today. The engine clutch hooks up well but the trans side converter opens too quickly not allowing the engine to rev out. Will work on it this week. The runs past the camera were not at full throttle. Driving this beast is a blast.

Very cool Mark. I can't wait to see it in person. Looks like you might need the salt flats to see how fast it can go.
I took the liberty of re-posting the link here so it would be easier to get to.

Working on the CVT
The CVT was loading the engine with too high a ratio just after about 50' creating a big drop in rpm, from 4500 rpm engagement to 7500 back to about 5000 rpm.
You can see some tire spin in the previous video in the first 20'. The engine has a Comet 102C and the trans has a mid 90's Polaris. Both are very adjustable. The Polaris side was opening too quick for the load and not holding in lower ratio long enough. Removed the Polaris and reset the spring to the highest spring tension 4. We have a big improvement but may be able to go a bit more tension with the next size spring. I have a spring and a progressive cam on order but will probably keep it the way it is for Phillipsburg.
I was only able to throttle up the engine on the near side of the camera to keep the neighbors from complaining.Acta non verba

Man that thing will fly! Looking good there Jersey
LewisLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
