  • Double up the small blind bearings on scrambler??

I am in the process of installing all new bearings on the clutch shaft of the scrambler. The smallest blind bearing that fits inside the rotor seems to have enough room for 2 sets .The shaft has enough room also.Would this be a good idea to add an extra set on each side? The blind bearing is small enough to look like a roller skate wheel bearing. The original was destroyed. The small diameter clutch shaft ends also seem long enough to support 2 sets on each side I just wonder if this would effect the moving action of the clutch-brake-or steering setup?

Dont know your machine but have doubled up brgs many times to increase strength, longevity and dependability. See if you can find a double wide brg 2 rows of balls in your dimentions ID and OD and width and check out whats avail in the Mc Master on line catalogue.

looks like I can't double up the bearings. The way the drive disk hub is made it wont allow for more bearings.I could fit them in but then the rotor wont move and the clutch doenst make contact.JFYi.
