swamp2.JPGswamp.JPGI currently own a 1989 Swamp Fox 8X8 and was trying to find out more info on the machine via forum members with more knowledge than I. I am thinking of selling it and would like to get opinions on the value of it in its current conditions.

I remember this machine for sale a few years back. I think it was JP that did some research on it and found it was a one-of-a-kind prototype for military trials. If it hadn't been so far away, there are a few members here that would have bought it up quickly. I can't give an estimate on such a machine, but if the shipping wasn't such a killer, you'd have LOTS of offers.Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

A machine like that is best left to eBay. I would pay a few thousand for it. Someone may even pay $5000 for it. Is it worth more, maybe, but maybe not. I would think the best thing you could do is take some video of it working as well as a full walk around and a complete look at inside the tub and sell it on eBay. who knows, you could get $10000 if the right couple of collectors go at it, probably not, but it is really hard to say as one has not been sold recently.l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

I guess it is worth what someone will pay and partly where it is located. Problem with the older vintage machines from what I see is they are sort of collector pieces and no one is really collecting them who will make a substantial investment. And if a guy has tens or even hundreds of thousands for toys why would you spend it on some old thing like that when you could get something really cool and new and use it. What I am seeing is there are a lot of deals out there mainly because the value is not that high for most people in the present economy.
