  • Mid-Engine Max IV with 30HP Bandolero Motor

I am selling my mid-engine Max IV on eBay in an effort to make some more room and to encourage me to finish my 8x8 project. This is a custom Max that I originally built several years ago but have continued to modify & upgrade over the years. The original build thread is located here: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/max-a...ne-max-iv.html.

    Features:
-30HP Bandelero motor from 600 Racing with a 5,500RPM redline
-Custom motor mount that has relocated the engine and battery to the center of the machine for better performance and weight distribution
-Custom exhaust that has been ceramic coated
-Single bucket seat mounted on a suspension pedestal for ride comfort and additional leg room. The seat is adjustable front to back to accommodate different height drivers
-Three point racing harness with cam lock. The cam lock can accommodate a 5 point harness if you wish to add the shoulder belts.
-Upgraded splined axles and flame-hardened sprockets. 15 tooth sprockets on the T20 transmission and 34 tooth sprockets on the axles
    -12" Muddox beadlock wheels
-26x13x12 Super Swamper Vampire ASX tires
-Stock Max IV roll cage that has been shortened a couple of inches
    -Winch mount and 3,000lb winch.
-Full length mud flaps that extend down the side and rear of the vehicle

    Recent Photos:

Last column in this chart shows the specifications of the machine. It has a top speed of 30mph at 5500 RPM

    Videos:

Here's some specific clips of the machine:

This is some footage of http://www.6x6world.com 's semi-annual six and eight wheeler ride at Busco Beach ATV park in Goldsboro, NC recorded on the weekend of…

You can also see this Max in most of the Busco Beach videos on the 6x6 World Youtube page here: https://www.youtube.com/user/6x6World/videos

I was never easy on this six wheeler but I was very anal about maintenance and upgrades. I have only ridden this machine 3 times since the last bearing change and axle/sprocket upgrade a couple of years ago. It is 100% water tight. The only issue with the machine is that the winch sounds bad when you use it. If you have any questions about it, just ask.
