I typically only log on once a day but I check my emails several times a day just to check for reported posts. Those go straight to my email. If you guys hadn't reported it, it would have been on here until tonight.

I had a brand new, personally owned Max II for sale of which he removed my listing claiming that I am a dealer... I am NOT a dealer for Max/Mudd Ox currently and simply offered my Max to the members here first.

Yet, this ad...completely unrelated to the subject matter of this board...has survived The Moderators scrutiny!

Ugghh. Give it up already. You can't post your brand new, 0 hour Max II for sale on this site. Continuing to argue with me via PM and here in this thread about the rules of this site and how I apply them isn't going to end in your favor.

It isn't a person who posts these ads, they're coded spambots. I see them on a weekly basis on the other forums I'm on, we don't see them much on here at all.

Nick, you hit the nail on the head. There is no person posting these, just spammers who have coded bots to join the forum automatically and post. There are several automated ways this site tries to prevent that but the only way I have been able to stop the majority of it is to review the email address and ip address of every member that signs up manually. The downside is that it it time consuming and it delays the amount of time between when a new member signs up and when they can post.

Even with that, some slip through the cracks occassionally.

Has anyone ever wondered why there are few, if any, dealers left...? Once an industry becomes too self exlusive it tends to simply collapse itself into oblivion. Anything left would be nik naks obtainable only via junk piles and second hand stores.

No, not at all Nubs; on the contrary, I have a very comfortable life replete with cars, airplanes, vacation homes and, yes, other assorted toys such as ATV.

Don't know about him But I was a dealer for them for some time back in the late 90,s/2000,s and That Dropped Me ? I solde over a dozen machines but didn't stock a lot of them and I didn't even know that dropped us till I called up for parts one day !!!! Towards the end Rec industries got funny with the small dealers .

Would be interesting to find some former dealers and hear their story.It sure can't be easy selling a new 6x6,does a dealer work with a bank to get financing for a prospective buyer.I live right next to macomb powersports and they quit stocking snowmobiles,not enough sales so it must be pretty tough selling a aatv during winter .
