New East Extreme Dirt Track Racing

Over the Past 24 hours the weekend weather forecast in Delevan, New York has gone from good to severe. With calls for several inches of rain and 100% chance of rain with possible flooding and Sunday also calling for constant rain the chances of being able to race are unfortunately now very minimal to none. With the costs of travel and other expenses of all the riders to consider a decision to postpone this round is being made. WNYEDT and NE EDT is forced to postpone Round 3 in Delevan, New York due to the severity of the rain forecast and amount of rain being called upon until September 5th. We are trying to be pro-active versus reactive in this decision in making a decision that works best for all those involved. We are hoping that making an earlier call we can catch every rider prior to having to leave for New York and also if they made any hotel or motel reservations you are able to cancel in time. We understand the possible Dilemma this creates for some and apologize in advance. We also understand the disappointment as everyone was looking forward to this weekend as where we. Round 3 will still take place as it will be rescheduled for Saturday September 5th. With Pine Lake only being a few weeks away and then only having a few weeks between the other scheduled final rounds this appears as the only possible date so we don't lose a race. Round 3 will take place on Saturday September 5th.

I'm pretty sure you mean "the least" of our problems, G. I'm not trying to be a doomsday preacher, but the NWS has been steadily increasing their confidence level for a whole-lotta rain starting Friday night right through Sunday evening. I guess we'll keep an eye on it....

It looks like this weekend is going to be on the cool side in WNY, with highs in the mid 60s and a chance of rain on Saturday (sounds a lot like Ashtabula, huh?). They have a rain date set for Sunday. WNYEDT has this video on linked to their promo for the event, but I can't be 100% sure that it's the same track, or if this will be our race course. Nevertheless I wish it wasn't sped up so much...
