Any word on when we need to register? We'll most likely be on the road in the wee hours of the morning Saturday and be there in time to warm up & race.

NE-EDT has posted the anticipated schedule on their Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/New-E...58815270821809

It looks like Saturday registration is 8am until noon. Heat races after that and the beautifully vague "Main events start after heats end". One of the posters says that the mains are going to start around 6:30pm. So..... if this is anywhere near the size of the Ashtabula event, racing is going to go on late into the evening.

What do they mean when they say "TT" race and "TT" track?

TT is an old term that I've always heard used for non-oval and not necessarily flat dirt tracks... here's a description from Wikipedia:

TT Steeplechase: A race held on an irregularly shaped dirt course which usually features one right hand turn and one jump. This event also favors lighter motorcycles, but larger motorcycles have also been successful. The initials TT stand for Tourist Trophy, taking its name from the days when street-legal motorcycles were known as touring motorcycles hence, a tourist trophy signified a class for street-legal motorcycles.

FYI, Steelers training camp is also about 5 miles away from the track, so there could be some traffic on Rt 30 coming from the West since practices are open to the public. Looks like this would be more in the afternoon, however.

It looks to me that if they get a turn out like Ashtabula we might be packed in there like sardines!

Maybe I'll have to pit in my Sister's driveway. It's only 2.4 miles away...
