    6x6 Racing Results 2015

This thread will contain all of the race results, pictures, videos, etc. The races this year were held on Sunday, June 14. I'll try to update this first post with the videos and pictures that everyone posts so we don't have to sort through so many pages.

What a great weekend! A big thanks to everyone that works behind the scenes to make the races what they are. Also thanks to jpswift for giving me the lug nuts to replace the rubber on my engine mount. There was alot of rain, but it just made the trails that much better. We're going to be busy getting the machines back into order for the next race weekend, we'll be attending the next Ashtabula this summer. We had so many machines and classes to run that we didn't get a chance to take good video like the previous years, but I have a little bit to upload for everyone.

Here's the pictures I took of the race results:

        In free-for-all I placed 3rd, Michael Stiles 4th.

A big thanks goes out to Bud and his crew. We had a nasty storm come thru Friday and some of us had some casualties. A big thanks to the Mudox crew for helping me and Don save our canopies even though you guys lost your awning. My son Jesse raced his first race this year in the max and took 3rd. I raced my first over 50 race and took 3rd.

I have update the list above based on the photos. I had a hard time reading some of the names so be sure you check your name and details above in the updated list. If I made a mistake, just let me know and I will correct it. I can't wait to see the video(s)

                    No problem Mike!

Here's the highlight of our video (more to come):

I felt a slam with George and before I could blink I saw the ground and dash crumpling over and over. My leg slammed into the roll cage pretty hard, and my neck slammed into the seat back a few times. My belts were tight; I think a neck brace would be a good idea on all our machines. Luckily the body and frame took the crumple instead of me. It was pretty disappointing after working on the machine all week, then Saturday ripping it all apart for the belt, and now it needs major repair.

                      Yeeesh!

                      Sorry Nick.

I felt us bump on the tabletop but I had no idea what happened after that until I got home ( a few hours ago) and watched the video I recorded from inside the car.

                      I really am sorry.

Thanks George, I know racing happens. Would you post that video?
I think it would be safer to keep the springers in the springer class. If one springer makes contact with another, the suspension seems to absorb the energy instead of sending the machine flying. I remember r/c cars being the same way when dad and I raced them.

Yeah....Probably a good idea. Though I'd really miss the "Free for All"

Glad you're okay, Nick. Machines get fixed, bodies need to heal.... looks like your neck should be sore for at least a week (after replaying video 3 times). George, free for ALL says it ALL. I do agree with the fact that springers have their OWN class, and shouldn't be allowed in lesser classes due to engine size and # of carbs.

Nick, Glad you were OK, was a little worried for a few minutes there. I had to watch that wreck and the race I should have been in from the staging area. I missed all races due to a carburetor that decided to start taking a leak of fuel and Don fortunately noticed when the machine was off and sitting there. I thought we had it fixed, then it decided to do it again not long before the free for all.. need to do a a complete cleaning/check on those now. At least other parts of the machine are ready for next time. Dad busted only busted a rear U joint on the springer. Fortunately the rest held together. I felt like we got there at a new record time (around 4pm Sat), but had less time to mingle due to things like my Big max carb/clutch issues and the weather. Was a little bit of a bummer for me, but still had good times and wouldn't miss it.
