What a great time again this year. Thanks to the entire group at Fischer cycle and the hobbyists who continue to support us at Pine Lake. GeoJem and I brought down a couple racers and the Newt the Bold came along for a little shake-down testing. I got a little overzealous with the D/stock during practice laps and broke some parts playing around with Lewie72 (just like last year) and the repairs made on Saturday didn't hold up for the races unfortunately. GeoJem pulled a far-away second behind the Griffin Rocketship, but she had a great time trading places with Ms. Cheney (great to see you on the track Lyndsey). I have a good video of the "Power Puff" race from the GoPro that I'll try to upload at some point.

The Newt did alright for its IPO, but it's running the wrong spring in the primary clutch that only lets it use about 30% of the clutch on an even downhill slope. It still garnered a lot of attention and a lot of compliments from folks which I really, really appreciate. I hope to have some minor bugs worked out and to get some more appropriate testing done on it over the summer.

We'll get stuff cleaned off and fixed right and see everybody down in Delevan, NY in a couple weeks!

A big thank you to Bud and his crew! As always it was great seeing everyone again.
Nick, I am so glad that you are alright and the roll cage did it's job, I would of been beside myself if it would have failed. I have a first Gen body if you want it you can have it.I am not sure how nice it is but you are welcome to it.

I think it would be safer to keep the springers in the springer class. If one springer makes contact with another, the suspension seems to absorb the energy instead of sending the machine flying. I remember r/c cars being the same way when dad and I raced them.

I do think contact with any other wheels, pre or mid jump could provide the same outcome.. maybe for both machines though, depending on the machine and that specific jump has claimed a number of victims the past 6 years. I'm personally not opposed to still trying to give one of those fancy cushy sneaky heavier machines an attempted run for their money .

Wish to thank the Fisher crew and LittleG for all their help to make these weekends happen. A SPECIAL thanks to LittleG and Terry(I,ie,Teri) for tending to me all weekend as well as The Griffins and the rest if the New York Club for taking care of me and Lindsay, treated like Royalty and provided Lindsay with Dianne's Attex and her first racing experience as well as hosted and housed, couldn't ask for more and 1 is surely owed to all.
Lindsay took 3rd in the Powder Puff Races after only driving a 2 stroke about 3500 feet and roughly 2 miles in a T-20, great job on her part and G's mechanicals.
Hope NickO, Dave Smith, asnd Don are well after their mishaps.
Sorry to those I missed seeing and those who got short visits and also those who did not make it this year, just not enough time with all the travel this year.
              See Yall next time.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
              Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

A huge thank you to EVERYONE involved in making this event happen. Another great time for me. Gizmo passed her "shake down" run. A few odds and ends but should be pretty reliable for some time. Argo always runs good. Saturday night ride was a blast! Didn't get to socialize as much as past events,I think the weather slowed things down just a fuzz. Won't be making the Delevan NY event. Can't wait to see everybody at Pine Lake again this fall.

Just want everyone to know the Bumpkin II is alive and will be well after a little elbow grease to repair three outside bearing retainers and reseal three tires. Also found a broken primary clutch weight which I will use as an excuse as to how Jeff caught up to me! LOL. I suffered no ill effects from the crash except my pride, that was my first rollover in 35 years of racing, so I guess I had it coming. To tell the truth, it was kind of fun, but it's not worth all the work to put the machine back together! Thanks to Bud and crew for putting on a great weekend for us.

That was a pretty scary looking rollover, just as bad as Nick's.

After taking a tumble like that, to get in another springer and run the supermod race proves that you've got lots more nerve than most of us.Great racing; glad you (and the Bumpkin) are still in one piece.

We weren't in the same incident, Bridget. Mine was a simple Karma roll-over for being a smart alec in 2-stroke mod and Dave's was much more spectacular feat. I only saw it from my position way behind Jeff and Dave in the over 50 race and then all I saw was "tires-up" over the bowl. I hope there's video, too, but haven't heard of any yet.

I Had a great time again as usual. Even met a few more people and some familiar ones as well. Thanks to the hospitality of Shawn and family I got a tour of Toledo and the lake Eerie region on the way back. I also was part of a true Argo adventure as Shawn put the JZ wheels through some more testing. On the way home I hit gridlock traffic going around Chicago. Perfect time for the alternator to go out. Pulled off on the nearest exit to find more detoures and bumper to bumper traffic. With the aid of my smarter than me phone I was able to limp... And I mean limp to an O Reilly's. Changed alternator and got a jump start from the nice guy that worked there and on my way. Sitting in a traffic jam near Chicago with truck problems is kinda like my very first date with ole what's her name. I got no where fast and all said n done I needed a cigarette lol. But it's all worth it to to see everyone and all the cool machines like the Newt and that lil Gotcha that Toms wife built for him lol.
What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.
