My seat is a seat that is for a 4x4. The "suspension" part is in the seat. It just has a lot of cushion in it but it doesn't actually move, it is stationary. Joe H had one in his machine last year if you remember seeing it. My seat last year was hard plastic but still stationary. My lap belt was mounted to the frame and my shoulder belts were mounted to the sides of the transmission and came up the back of the seat and through holes that were molded into the seat. Could I still do that or do I have to come up with something else? My new seat has the same holes as my plastic seat. In my opinion, the frame of the seat is not strong enough to mount the belts to. I would have to build a separate frame for the belts and I don't see that happening this close to race time.

I was just curious as to whether the tech inspectors, whoever they may be, would be following the letter of the law or the spirit of the law. As long as they show some common sense, I don't think there will be a problem with setups that can't quite follow the letter of the law.

      Thanks
