  • A bit of racing history

When I went to put my NEEDT throphy on the shelf I realized that I had won back to back championships! I won the last series high point championship from NATVA in 1981, and the First National points series from NEEDT in 2016. A 35 year gap! Boy do I feel old now!

Ya, I wish I could remember who won all the classes back then. I suppose Bud may have it in some old records somewhere.

Was Brad a byproduct of the celebration?

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
                Joe Camel never does that.

I do have a pic with me covered in mud with the throphy. I will try and find it.

Ok, found some. This was at Yankee Lake, Oh. 1981. I remember it was cold wet and muddy. The race pic is on the first lap with Dave Bures in 1st, Bud Fischer 2nd, Ron McCay 3rd, and yours truly last.

Yes it was, sadly Dave Bures has passed on, but I got to watch his son and grandkids race their quads in NEEDT this year. I miss him, he was a great guy.

Thought Jerseybigfoot would get a kick out of this pic of Kenny Adams in the Mouse at a local 4X4 race. Maybe we will see Marc's smiling face in this springer this year!

I'm not sure this is where it should go but what the heck. Since you guy's are posting pictures I thought I would put this one up from the banquet. Bumpkin, Gerber and Me.
