A bit of racing history

Yes it was, sadly Dave Bures has passed on, but I got to watch his son and grandkids race their quads in NEEDT this year. I miss him, he was a great guy.

Thanks for posting that pic! I wish Uncle Dave could have been around for at least a few more years to see us start doing this again. Kevin was only around long enough for that first year of racing too.

Yes i remember Dave well and the hole family. fact i believe i stayed over at Dave and Donna's when i was a kid.
raced keven and kelly every place. and Tiffer too. i never raced Jeff but my brother did.They had quite a crew that came with them back in the day.
Danny and Terry Stevens, Kevin O and his family and uncle dutch. Great Bunch and still going.

I tagged along with that crew, piled in one of their demo campers to ride up to Ashtabula in the mid 80's a few times as a kid.

Was it the next year or that one that Bud and Ron went over the jump on the back straightaway and locked wheels when they landed??

That was this race, I think Dave had mechanical trouble, Bud & Ron locked wheels on the last jump on the last lap and I drove past them for the checkered flag! Talk about dumb luck! Coming your way tomorrow, I'll honk on the way pass NC.
