    My choices:

    A) Go to Pine Lake and have a blast, see everybody that we don't see nearly enough, and spend some adrenalin racing.

    B) Be smothered in my sleep by Bud & Q

    I think we'll be there.
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

    (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

      Don

I think the Boys are big enough now that they wouldn't have to wait for you to drift off to sleep before commencing the smothering.

We won't be there this year, but it won't be the gas prices keeping us away. A very inconsiderate "friend" of mine is getting married that weekend

No sweat buddy; we can rub Bigfeets fenders in the mudholes at Busco. Eat hot-molten belly band, suckah!

We'll all miss the Racer gang this year.....

You can't talk him into a "Ohio wedding"? We could set up lawn chairs on the infield.

So that's what it takes to get a spin in the 503

A question from someone new to this. Is the racing at Ashtabula dry or does it get amphibious?

Depends on how much water they blast on the track.

Seriously, a million years or so ago when racing first started a lot of the tracks were like endurance races. Big hills, water holes & long straightaways sometimes in the middle of farmland wherever they wanted to put a track. Some racetracks back then continued this theme, sorta, (though not like an endurance race). The tracks had steep turns, & deep holes that they would fill with water. So compared to the racing of yesteryear, Ash would probably be considered a dry track. Just depends on the darn water truck.

Six wheel racers don't slow down no matter how much water you dump on the track.

Check out the videos on the Ash racing link. It will give you a good idea of the track. Fun entertainment too.

Here is the location of all the videos.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

The track is typically used for Quad racing, so it's mostly groomed for that. It would be neat to add the puddle back in somewhere that I remember seeing photos of from the 70's. That would suck up the old school springers though.
