Noel Woods told me that he didn't have the time now to post any video's that he shot of the 2013 , High lifter mud nationals , so he asked me to post this one. Last year almost all of the atv riders rode close to the sides of this long mud pit. This year though, the owners of Mud Creek , atv park had a big surprise for the people that entered the endurance race. Before this event was held they used a back hoe to dig trenches and big holes diagonal across the mud pit, and in different places, to make it more challenging for the big tire, high lifted ,4-wheelers. Noel and his friends with amphibs had run this mud coarse two or three times two days before this race was started, so they all knew where the best lines were and also where the trenches and deep holes were. Noel and his co-driver entered the race first and out of 19 atv's they got 4th place. Lots of people commented about how clean they both looked after the endurance race when compared to all of the 4 wheeler guys who were all covered in watery mud.
When the video counter reaches 1:23 you'll see a Hydrotrek 8x8 with tracks.

Cool video, Dave! A REAL machine showing the inferior 4 wheelers how it's done. And like you said, all nice and clean and dry at the end of the course. Nice work, guys!"Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"

The Mud Nationals was an AMAZING RIDE!!! Anyone within 1000 miles needs to plan to attend this event next year. There is really nothing else like it. Thousands of quads and side by sides all jacked up on big mud tires. Excellent terrain with mud everywhere for amphibs. SOOOO glad Tim from Adair Argo talked me into attending this ride. His tracked Argos went everywhere and made it look easy. My Max IV tore through that mud and put on a show. It'll be time for mods next year! Here is the first video:

Thanks maxrules...for taking time to video a little bit of the fun we had :-) you and the max4 make a really good team and its always fun to watch you pilot the machine through the really hard stuff...after watching the video I think we need to rename the yellow 6x6 to the little bigfoot that could...lol

Thanks for posting up the Video Brandon. As expected the Tracked HDI went anywhere but those small tracked bigfoots continue to amaze me with their capabilities. As Tim's HDI was pulling out that expensive lifted 4x4 it was cool to see that small Bigfoot drive right through the same area without any stress or issues, kinda speaks for itself.Last edited by mightymaxIV; 03-27-2013, 11:51 AM.

Great video. Looks like you guys had a really good time at this mud event. When the video counter reaches 00:35 you'll see a green Max IV,yellow Argo 6x6 and green Argo 8x8 come into view that some one shot a video of. At 01:30 you see an atv with pontoon tracks on it. This mud event usually attracts a crowd of 15,000-18,000 people each year ,and you can imagine how rutted out and soft the mud is on the trails through the woods.

Those quads and side by sides with their expensive aftermarket exhausts sound like absolute garbage. That's such an annoying sound and we hear way too much of it at Busco. It's nice when one of those people think their machines can outperform ours and they do something dumb like try and follow us and they hydro-lock their engine. I remember some quad rider said his machine will go anywhere a 6 wheeler can. He followed Robbie with his Max IV in the water. The 6 wheeler went in and came right out, the quad was floating upside down in the water. Robbie was nice enough to pull him out and tow him back to his campsite.
That's good that you guys were able to show these people what a real machine can do. Thanks for the exposure of our hobby and capturing the footage, mudbug."Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"

Tim and his amphib group pulled over 20 four wheelers and side by sides out of the really bad mud sections and then drove right back through the very same bad mud holes that the four wheelers and side by sides got pulled out off. After watching Tim and his amphib group drive through the really bad mud sections, the hard core atv riders and side by side riders with big tires and lift kits on them tried to follow , thinking that these mud sections were'nt that bad, because the 6 wheelers and 8x8 made driving through them look so easy. They soon found out that they were all out classed.
